Culturally safe NDIS support for Indigenous communities in regional and remote NSW.
Culturally safe NDIS support for Indigenous communities in regional and remote NSW.
Yirra is proudly Aboriginal owned and led, providing culturally safe Support Coordination and Support Work across Regional and Remote NSW.
We’re here to make the NDIS easier to understand and access, walking alongside individuals and families every step of the way.
YIRRA values and recognises the connections to family, country, and community through our kinship systems. Connection is built through relationships that are based on trust within the communities in which we operate.
Respect means accepting somebody for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you disagree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and well-being. At YIRRA we respect everyone and work towards building social inclusion for all.
Empowerment means giving individuals or groups the ability to take control of their lives and make informed choices. By empowering all people with a disability, we can foster a sense of self-determination and enable them to lead independent lives.
Motivation is a key force that drives YIRRA to achieve and become more than what we already are, particularly as new challenges arise.
YIRRA will work closely with all participants and families to build resilience within themselves so they can live a quality of life.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
We pay our respect to the Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
